4xxxlbs of tractor and trailer being pulled by 4xxxlbs of truck. Makes for some interesting travels.

No issues with either on the 4hr trip; the truck has no problem pulling it and the trailer more than holds the weight, but you just don't get a tire smoking or respectable 0-60 times doing it. Even headed up the south side of I-70 into Breezewood...took that hill at 55mph with lots of pedal to spare. Just had to pay attention to where you were, where you wanted to go and when you needed to be there.

3rd and final time the truck has to do it with all the attachments. Tractor will be coming back down in a few weeks to have the 3pt piston rebuilt, but after that it will live in PA until it dies.

Here in WV, Uhaul rents by the vehicle pulling it, not the trailer you want. I have to input a different vehicle to even get this 5x9. They won't let a Ranger pull anything other than the small sport trailers. According to them, the pulling vehicle I used this rental is an F350 quad cab 4x4.
Luckily, they don't check the vehicle very closely during their safety inspection.
Only way I'm pulling a dual is with a different vehicle. Fortunately, the next time pulling it will be without any attachments.

I have been using a tandem dump trailer for a couple weeks to clean up after the fire next door. Trees, stumps, brush and topsoil. I barely break 55 mph due to the weight, dont want to push my luck. And im using a full size gmc 4x4.

Dont want anything going wonky like a blown steering tire on that ranger, be safe man.

When I read the title, I expected something much worse.
Like the time I got passed (at about 70mph) going down Sunset Point
(I-17 southbound) by (wait for it)
a stock '68 Bronco pulling an 8 horse horse trailer carrying 4 horses & a bunch of hay.
It did not end well.

And the PoPo never stopped to talk to you??? I dont think I would have done that with a ranger let alone a single axel,,,gives me shivers just thinking about it

Some modify the safety equipment on there tractors, hopefully they know what they are doing and are only putting themselves at risk.
