Vets day

There Is a local Christmas tree grower in the town where I live by that retired a few years ago. He has taken it on himself to make and place a wreath on every vets grave in this county. The first of Nov they placed 1800 wreaths on the graves of vets in all the cemtaries here. It is the most awesome thing that I have ever saw. These wreaths are 20 to 24 inch ones and he does it with the help of kids from the local school

As a recently retired vet, I can’t believe the gratefulness of businesses and individuals when they realize you are a vet. It is really something. So now, when I see one of those old guys wearing their hat, I do the same to them. They never got it like we did, so I make sure they feel the love too. And I can tell, they like it and appreciate it.

You tell that wreath maker we all get a little teary eyed with all the well wishes.

Its great when someone steps up to say thanks to the vets. Here in Maine the Worcester Wreath Company has the wreaths across America event each year sending tractor trailers of wreaths to Arlington cemetery in Washington. I forget how many they send but every grave is visited and a wreath laid.
And Thanks to all the member vets here at OTT.
