I fashioned a wood splitter to fit the kubota. All I need now are to run hydraulic lines from bucket roll lines, but I am not sure what I should know before doing this.
  • Measure distance from front hydraulics to the wood splitter.
  • determine working pressure and diameter of the hose.
  • hose plus two couplers?

  • i will probably need 10ft of hydraulic hose for each side. What is a good source for this hose. The couplers I can find at tractor supply.

Why would you want to operate the splitter with the loader valve?

My question also.
Have you totally ruled out just adding rear remotes (or maybe a PTO driven pump)?
You could then still use your loader for hauling wood.

maybe I'm misunderstanding your plan.. are you intending to operate the log splitter from the bucket controls in the cab? not sure you can get there from here, not easily anyway. and that would surely be most inconvenient to operate.

definitely rear remote is the right way to power a 3pt mounted implement with local controls.

I would bite the bullet now (buy once - cry once) and install at least single function and depending on cost difference would consider doubles if not terribly much more. you will thank yourself for the versatility and convenience for years to come. and the sooner the better while parts are readily available for your seemingly newer machine. it would also seem you have the skills to install yourself saving dealer labor.

as for hoses, standard 2 wire 100r2 1/2" or 5/8" depending on desired flow/speed of your cylinder and system specs. at minimum make sure hose working pressure rating is above system rated, especially on a log splitter with potential to deadhead on relief repeatedly. match your qds to whatever the rest of your attachments are. any decent local hydraulic shop should be able to make you up a nice set of hoses for your log splitter.

btw, nice fab skills! good luck hookin her up! 🍻
