FINALLY, warm weather and my disabled body cooperated last couple days. first parts super-clean because its sat under tarp for months. Bigger parts are in sxs which lives in the barn. Rest is in my garage. Cleaned the head and removed valves, cleaned the valves and guides, checked the valves and seats and replaced valve seals. The head is back on, rockers, adjusted valves, and set the vc on. All I could before a spring thunderstorm hit, as was in the garage wiping off tools and putting them up and wind driven rain blew in on me. Now its just the fuel injectors, lines, tank, instrument panel, etc. Just knuckle-head work. I torqued the head bolts to 85 ft-lbs. This is 13 more than thee spec. did 6 or 7 steps feeling for slightest bolt stretch, I don't want a repeat. the block had a small bit of out of flatness around cylinder #4. I used an aftermarket headgasket previously, hoping it bit me and an OEM gasket works... Disability sucks. 42, and work usually take atleast 1.5 times as long as they should, sometimes more. My knowledge is there, body doesnt work. I also have every tool needed (including air tools)...
