Can my L4200 head bolts be reused? My gut says yes as they aren't tourqe to yield. I replaced a piston last year and head gasket then. Straight edged the head and block. They were fine. At some point the degas bottle made noise. Now it rolls non-stop when running to the point of antifreeze hitting the ground. It never overheated.

Yes the head bolts can be reused.

Sound like it has a cracked head.

You'll see the crack with a eye no magnaflux required.

They crack between the valve and the prechamber.

NIW, do I need to remove valves? It's raining here I wiped it off and flashlighted it. Idea, if I fill intakes and exhaust ports with H2O would it leak through a potential crack with radiator cap pressure? It was pressuring the degas bottle really bad. Figured it would be blatantly obvious. Gasket seemed intact. Do these things cavitate like we sleeved engines? All Deere engines are wet sleeved. If an anticavatation additive wasn't used, eventually cavitation would occur and it'd burn water. As I recall they didn't pressurize the coolant.

You should be able to see it without taking out the valves.
Take some good well lit pictures of the head and I might be able to point it out.

There is no cavitation issues with Kubota's as they are dry sleeved.

I know dry, just wondered. I pressure washed all the take offs (including the head and the lower engine) pulled the steering pedestal to remove the fuel tank for easier engine access. Air hose blower dried everything and put all of them in my polaris ranger and put it in the dry barn. Anyhow, rechecked head, gasket and crossed my fingers and checked over the block. Still have no clue of the cause. Cylinder 4 is somewhat clean, it is around a year and couple hundred hours old. So expected if they're burn water they're team cleaned. Not that obvious... I'll clean the head up with a scraper and take some pictures.

Don't clean it just take pictures.
Give me pictures of the pistons and block too.

After pressure washing, guess I didnt dry it enough. It was dark, had to clean it. I see nothing. Head pics. Will get block too. Inspected head gasket coolant passages again see no reason...

BTW I used a plastic wheel on a die grinder. Clean but doesn't eat metal like 3M Rolocs do.

I really wish I could have seen it dirty, would have told me more.
I don't like the look of #4.

You're going to have to have that one magna fluxed to be sure.

Still want to see the top of the block and pistons, Uncleaned if possible.

#4 was dusted by PO. Replaced piston and rings on it. Hence the HG about a year ago. Previously smoke due to low compression on 4. Of course blowby too. No cooling system issues.

Had to scrape the remaining gasket off. Honestly never seen a head gasket like this. Lots of paper. Although I still don't see a cause. No possibility it froze, I mixed it recently with distilled. Pictires are 1, 2, 3, 4. Forgot an overall, it's tarped again. It's dark now.

Sorry they are too blurry to give you a really good answer.
But this is definitely a non seal point from the water jacket to #4
If the gasket came apart in shreds, it was junk to begin with!

Sure is! Just scraped it right before dark. Pulled the tarp back and lighted it. 100% its that. Ill straight edge it and measure extent. Worst case I'll pull the engine and strip it. likely full rebuild if I pull it. Danggit, sometimes molehills actually become mountains instead of making it that way. Even a cheap rebuild kit with liners isn't cheap. +machining. I am the labor, but we bid engine at least $1000 dollars per hole... 15 YEARS AGO!
