Hi. As the title indicates I've never tried to start a diesel engine. I'm wondering what I should do with levers "A" and "B". Do I leave them just as they naturally fall or do I move one or the other.... and how much. I've read about getting the fuel to the injectors and I think understand that. Engine V1505T

You'll need a wiring diagram and power to activate the starter, glow plugs, fuel shut off solenoid, etc., "A' should be the throttle, I believe "B" is the manual shut off and is non-functioning since you have an electric solenoid. Make sure there's a filter on the fuel inlet to the mechanical pump and purge the air from the injector lines. Looks like a fun project.

If it's sat for a long time it might need the fuel drained out of it and new fuel.
Check the oil levels, and if it runs hydraulics make sure the hydraulic system is got Fluid so you don't burn up the pump.
If it's wired in the unit then really nothing more than turn the key and crank.
Kubota Engines very very rarely have run away issues as they are internally regulated.
