Okay I changed my injectors and it ran good for a day, then I went to fire it up and no start, it’s a 4 cylinder and the injector on the far right of the pump keeps pumping air bubbles,so I took off fuel tank and cleaned it and put on clear fuel lines so I can see fuel, it has mechanical fuel pump that is new, my electric fuel shut off is removed and I can move the fuel slide by hand, so yesterday I cleaned that injector and went to fire it up and by the way the injectors are new, it seems as if the bubbles are coming straight out of the pump, is there a bad o ring ??? Help this is a v1505 in a Lincoln vantage 300 welding machineGive us more details!
#1 Where did you get the injectors from?Okay I changed my injectors and it ran good for a day, then I went to fire it up and no start, it’s a 4 cylinder and the injector on the far right of the pump keeps pumping air bubbles,so I took off fuel tank and cleaned it and put on clear fuel lines so I can see fuel, it has mechanical fuel pump that is new, my electric fuel shut off is removed and I can move the fuel slide by hand, so yesterday I cleaned that injector and went to fire it up and by the way the injectors are new, it seems as if the bubbles are coming straight out of the pump, is there a bad o ring ??? #2 Temporarily ditch the entire fuel system and bottle feed the injection pump directly and see what it does.
Make sure you route a fuel line from the lift pump back to the tank as the stock fuel system will still keep moving fuel.
Get a container that you can attach a fuel line to and have it above the fuel injection pump.
that will gravity feed the injection pump.
Bleed the injectors start it up let it run for a while.
Let it sit for a few days noting the fuel level in the fuel container feeding the pump.
Check fuel level if it down then you have a Fuel injection pump issue.
if it has problems starting, or running while being bottle feed, then you have an injection pump issue and will need to pull it and have it rebuilt.
If you get to that point send me a message and I'll tell you all of what you need to do to pull it and have it rebuilt.
Ebay / Amazon / and other source injectors are notoriously bad!I’ve bottle feed it already and same problem, injectors from eBay and can I just take parts out of top of injector pump or take pump off
Okay thanks I’ll have to get a new one as I can find the element plunger and barrel assemblies but I can find no kit for that pump and I guess I could try a assorted o ring kit, metric I assume, I can find a kit for every kabota except this one and this is what happens, whatever one you need it’s not out there lolEbay / Amazon / and other source injectors are notoriously bad!
There are far more bad injectors than good in those markets.
A bad injector that is not sealing can cause issues, but likely not this issue.
If your getting good clean fuel to the injection pump and your getting air out of the pump, you need to pull the pump and send it in to get it rebuilt.
I would also have the new injectors tested at the same time.
Yes I read up about the shims thanks, Im going to pull it off tomorrow and see what’s going on in there and maybe I’ll get lucky lolIf you remove the injection pump to have it rebuilt, make 100% sure you remove and retain the shims under the injection pump.
Those shims set the timing, and these shims will not change with a rebuild of the pump.
You will reuse all those shims.
Note: The shim count can be 1 or more, there is no set amount or thickness of shims.
