Rookie here (L4600HST) - the other day I was rolling a log forward by the inch onto the sawmill bed and for some reason the tractor acted like it was going to stall. Based on years of driving cars I hit the gas pedal - which was of course the forward pedal and made the tractor lurch forward several inches. Luckily I did not run over my buddy or knock the sawmill off its leveling blocks but I felt kinda dumb.

Anyway I asked this same question about angles and why there isn't a gauge or anything in the manual. But it makes sense that there are so many variables you really can't say "27 degrees is the limit!" or any such thing. 4wd cars and trucks, sure, but they don't change much - no front loader to have on or off or at different heights empty or full, and so on.

I still want to get a gauge just so I know where I'm at, but I'm not going to rely on it too much.

A plumb bob of sorts with a pointer above a bull's eye. Will work in any direction. My phone has an app and may work in surface level setting. Guess we need an app that has a warning when you get too far off kilter.
