When trying to start there is no sound from starter. I have replaced the battery and starter dash lights dim when turning key but still no sounds (engagement of starter). What could else should be checked? Yes I have pedal depressed and I’m sitting on seat

go through std stuff like:

- battery strength
- grounds clean and tight
- pto lever disengaged and safety switch functioning
- speed control lever in neutral position and safety switch functioning
- the fusable link under the oil filter is ok but given dash power should be fine
- the brake pedal should have a safety switch in that model make sure its working. same as seat safety switch making continuity correctly
- do all the steps in section 8 troubleshooting steps of the operators manual
- check the 10a-15a-20a fuses for continuity

would be where i would start

Try bench testing the starter just in case it is binding or some other safety switch is engaged.

Have the battery load tested.
If that's good jump the solenoid and see if the starter will crank it.

First thank you for quick reply
I have done all that you suggested and s the starter does not engage. Have not tried jumping the solenoid not sure how??
I don’t know what to look for concerning depressing the brake and seat contact required to start engine?
Any other ideas??

Is this the G1900 that you are working with?
Make sure PTO switch is off.

On the starter is going to be a small spade terminal with the solenoid wire attached, you jump that to the large battery terminal at the starter to get it to run the starter.

Go to HERE:

Then go to second half of the operators manual unless your French is great.
107 is the wiring diagram.
That model has a combination box (electronic box that controls safety interlocks and start and run operations.).
They get very complicated to trouble shoot.

You might need the WSM to help.
Might look at the top right of your screen at the envelope. ;)
