Hi All, been unable to find a UK forum so in the hope there are UK owners on here! Recently bought a 1989 (believe) Kubota compact tractor with loader. Actually quiet a nice little machine in not bad condition (other than needing tyres)
I'm struggling to get it road registered due to it having no V5 and as I'm sure you know not a proper VIN number. I just need to find out what the first parts of the VIN would have been. I have tried some variations suggested on the internet but these dont seem to work. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Chris

If you know anybody in the UK with a Kubota tractor you might check to see how their VIN starts. I'm in the US and mine doesn't have an actual VIN, just a serial number.

None of the Kubota's of that vintage have a VIN.
There has to be some variance to it as they have had Kubota's over there for years.
You can't get anyone over there where you register it to give you any answers?

Unfortunately no, I have tried all the variants of VIN I can think of but you need to know the registration to register it. If I can work out how the VIN was made up (would include the serial number) then I can get the registration.
