I removed the cover from the front axel FWD U-joint on my BX 2230 expecting to find a grease zerk . Hmmm, nada! Are these sealed for life and require no maintainence ever? There are grease zerks on everything else, why not here?.
You're right! No grease nipples on the front drive shaft, they are lubed for life ( their life not necessarily yours!) There IS an important grease fitting on the BX tractors that is often missed though. It is the one on the HST pivot. A little flap on the floor mat gives access to it on the 50 and 60 series, I can't remember on the 30 series but I think it's from the bottom.
