Turbo cooldown

Been reading about need to let tractor turbo cool down before shutting down. My L6060 apparently has water cooled turbo, which some say doesn't need idle time to cool down. So if I need to let idle after hard loads, what RPM and for what duration is advised? Thanks.

Are you sure it’s water cooled? I looked through the parts diagrams and didn’t see anything.

Most oil cooled turbos it’s recommended to idle a few minutes after hard use.

Not sure. Did some reading in "interwebs" which suggested this was the case. Manual sitting at home as I am traveling. Always seems I think of these questions when I am away from the farm. Guessing best answer is to idle for 3 minutes at low RPM's everytime as a precaution.

Turbo cool down should only take a minute, or sometimes even less. The cool down should be done at a a little above normal idle speed. Look at the engine temperature gauge and watch for movement on the gauge. When the gauge has moved toward a noticeably cooler temperature, it is safe to shut down.

Your L6060 does NOT have a water cooled turbo.
The only cooling is air and oil.
Let it cool down for three to 5 min before shutting it down is wise.
