Interesting a die hard green guy just went with an orange machine. Be curious how it compares with his other ones.

I think he's expanding his fleet as I saw that he now has a New Holland also. Maybe to appeal to the broader compact tractor market?

John Deere sent him a letter to make him stop using Yellow in his logo. That would be enough for me to consider going Orange if I was him. Not a green fan, but still that was lame by John Deere.

That was a great video. I watched a pile of both their videos before I bought my BX. Deere was not on my list just due to dealer location. Kubota, mahindra, Massey, and koiti are all available to me in less than a 45 min drive.

Wow he did a lot of promo work with them at events. Crazy they would decide to do that to him. Well glad he's part of the orange family now.

Product/Copyright/Logo infringement can be a seriously/troublesome problem for companies. In the early 1980s I once set up a flight dept for a banking system and the CEO/majority stockholder wanted the company logo painted onto the tail of the airplanes. I incorporated the logo into the paint-jobs of the fleet. He really liked it.... company logo on company airplanes. It was a 14” by 10” logo.
About a week later he called me to dinner and during the evening meal he brought up the logo in an apologetic tone and suggested I take the airplanes back to the paint-shop and have them add a tiny little “C” within the circle about 1/8” in size.... hardly noticeable at all standing on the ground it looked like a small “dot”.... but within about 5 ft it was the copyright symbol.
The lawyers said we were also subject to our own copyright infringement. 🧐

(Flying those airplanes back to the paint facility, taking them out of service for a day each, and the labor/mat’ls for that little “dot” would cost the company into the 5-figures for each of the 4 airplanes.... so I lied to the boss and told him I’d take care of it right-away.... and waited until the next scheduled maintenance downtime... but it was a learning experience for me.)

I’ll bet Deere‘s lawyers saw that green/yellow combination (registered copyright material) and forced that issue.

Further evidence all law schools in the United States should be shut down for at least 10 years!

Reminds me of the old website ilovejackdaniels.com

It was a coding blog IIRC. JD's lawyers got all huffy and shut him down.

TTWT will test the upper limit with attachments should be good to watch.

Either his laywers knew nothing about trademark law or copyright law, or somthing got lost in translation - as that isn't even close to being how the laws work and the supposed fix did nothing of legal effect.

The complaint is with your congressman not the lawyers. The law forces a company's hand to police "fan" sites lest competitors be allowed to violate their trademarks as well. Congress could fix it but they don't.

I watched a boat load of you tubes before fianally deciding on the Kubota. TTWT always seemed fair with his reviews. I think his only “complaint” will be the treadle peddle. He has too many other tractors with the other pedal style. Going to be a big adjustment and not feel natural for him. Going to be cool seeing some orange on his land. Orange is cool.

Both Messicks and Tim's videos wer comical. I think Tim has a good channel but I will be more interested in what he is doing with the larger tractor.
