We have an old new holland ts100, built like a tank frame wise and like a toy car in the rest but we manage. Recently when you shift into reverse after having a big push like scooping up a load or somthing it will start to roll then clunk. Still works but this clunk in the rear end is like.....ok what's this going on?

It's almost like the big clunk you get when it comes outta 4wd but in the rear rather than up front. Any ideas as I'm at a loss for what it could be.

Check your wheel lugs, something could be loose there. And if you have the 2 piece rims, check both the outer bolts and the lugs where the dish attaches to the hub.

Nothing appeared loose, it feels like it's in the trannh
I'm not familiar with the trans / final drive system on that unit, so I can't tell you what it would be then, sorry. Maybe a broken tooth somewhere? Splines wore out on a shaft?......
But if it isn't external, it's internal, unfortunately.
