Thanks for allowing me to join. I have a 77 l225. I changed the transmission fluid and cleaned the filter. It hasn’t been done in a while. The book says it takes 5.8 gallons. I got just shy of 5 in and it’s coming out of the weep hole. Is this normal?

There are drains way down low on the rear drives on my L185. I think your tractor has similar drains to get all the fluid out.

You are unlikely to ever get ALL the fluid out short of a rebuild. The stated capacity is for dead empty on a brand new transmission.
