First time trailering an L2501- No obvious factory attachment points provided for chains, can someone help advise where to anchor chains on the tractor? Pictures would be wonderful too.

I go over the grill guard in the front.

In the back I run it through the draw bar mount.

Through the loader tube, through shackle on drawbar, separate strap on any implement front or back. The implement strap is a DOT requirement here. Less than 10K lb so only two attachment points required for the machine and the loader counts as part of the machine even though it’s arguably an “implement”. Machine over 10K requires four separate attachment points. That’s the law here. Some of that may be Federal; some varies by state. Keeping it under 10K lb keeps it pretty simple.

I usually put a shackle on each side of the FEL using the holes that are in the lift already and chain to those. Someday I’ll drill some holes and put on something else but the shackles have always worked great for me. The holes are on the FEL frame, not the bucket.

While 'two will do' where you live, '4 or more' is better and as others have said, buckets need their starps as well.
BIG thing is to be sure it's CLEAN ! NO loose rocks, stones, mud, dirt clods.. any of tht falls off and YOU are liable of any/all damages ( cracked windshields, accidents, etc.) Least, here in Ontario you are.

For your new machine without mods, throw a chain over the front bumper frame, and use the draw bar in the back, or around lower part of rops frame.
