heres the rear one that was totally from scrounged materials, the pins were from a set of barbells that were discarded which is a great source of 1" barstock! (my quick hitch uses 1" lower pins for a good fit not 7/8")

Thanks y'all. Just brought my new L3800 home this weekend. First thing my daughter said was "now we can have a hay ride!" I said to her "yes Ma'am, as soon as I figure out how to hook a trailer up to the tractor".

Be careful - this type of device is to move trailers with on level ground, not to move loaded 2 wheel trailers with on uneven terrain. The 3 point hitch has no way to hold the tongue of the trailer down if the center of gravity of the trailer load is shifted to behind the trailer axle, the tongue will raise the 3 point hitch.

There is a drawbar (it may be an option) below the axle of the tractor to pull and move loaded trailers with over uneven terrain.

If you have a "farm trailer" where there are wheels at the 4 corners then this is fine to use since the trailer is stable.
