youtube is full of these darwin award winners. Always use chocks, and park the trailer on a level spot, with a slight rise approaching the ramps. Remember the scene in the outlaw josie wales, where clint shoots out the rope on the ferry?:D

I remember a guy with a huge motorhome ( very old POS) towing a tiny aluminum boat down the road, hooked only by the tow chains, no tow ball or hitch in sight. He probably thought it was cool..........scary!
watching people launching their boats is an enjoyable day too!

Oh yeah the old boat ramp. It used to drive me crazy with these morons. I would pull to the dock my son would jump out back in the trailer I would drive on he would hook the cable and pull out while the other guy was still trying to get his boat on. Have seen some real winners there.

We were out on the lake in dads old pontoon boat. While stopped at the marina, a guy pulled up with a brand new bass boat. Was complaining about how slow it was, and how much of a pos it was for being brand new. I happened to look over and pointed out to my dad that it had straps still attached to it. The guy manning the pumps at the marina was sure quick to point it out to the guy.

The jack a@@ didn't remove the boat from the trailer :D:p just reinforced to us how stupid some people can be

I sure would have liked to have known what his thought process was. He sure didnt have any buisiness being on the water.

Scary part was, the guy working the pumps said it wasn't the first time someone stopped by with there trailer still attached to there boat

Out here in cottage country stuff like that goes on all the time. I have pushed a truck/trailer while loading a machine. Put it in 4 wheel drive and it was fine after that. Puts front wheels in park too. Saw a few submerged vehicles...

I like the guys that come flying back to the ramp because they forgot to put their drain plugs in, and their about to sink! I did see one guy ground his glass boat to keep it from going down. Nothing like prepping in advance to launching.

First time I went fishing with my step dad in florida turned intersting. Hi population of snakes and gators. First thing you learn is to stay out from under overhanging trees and brush. And make sure the plugs in before backing down the ramp.

We were fishing having a good time. Started watching this guy drifting under some over hanging brush. Guy jumped up, and proceeded to unload a pistol into the bottom of his boat  Guy had a water moccasin fall off one of the limbs into his boat  He got the snake, but didn't think about the gators, or how he was gonna get back to the loading ramp.

We ended up having to cut our trip short and tow him back to the ramp

Just saw a flatbed trailer loaded with hay bales off the side of the road thru someone's fancy white vinyl fence, and in their yard! What happened to the tow vehicle?? I'll have to stop and get pics on my way back thru

bearskinner,
You getting snow down there like us?
I've seen many a trailer tossed in the snow, most people just keep driving too fast when the roads go bad.

We got a couple inches this morning, but there's been lots of ice on the back roads, and like you said, people drive like it's dry, and end up off the side of the road. I can see a little sun trying to peek thru to the S/W. I wanted to plow the driveway again, but the grass and gravel is barely covered, so I'll just drive up and down the driveway to the mailbox out at the main road, and pack it down.

The snows no big deal, it's the ice that makes people stupid. I've always said half the people in this world are dummy's, they prove it by the way they drive. When I worked in Texas and especially in Kalifornia, once it rained, watch out!
