Be careful with an aluminum trailer ! Not every T,D &H can WELD aluminum !!! Might not be huge deal if close to home but on the Interstate could be an issue.

FYI basic ,entry level 'car hauler' is $6K out the door here in Hamilton,Ontario.

That's not a worry anymore with name brand aluminum trailers. Every weld on mine is really good and even the decking is fully welded to the frame members. My dealer sells hundreds of them a year and hasn't had any problems. Just be sure to get the Dexter axles on any trailer you buy now and tires rated higher then your actual towing speed. Chinese tires and axles are the biggest problem these days on all trailers. I also have a 16 ft steel 7k trailer but don't want to haul around the extra 1,200 pounds now that I downsized from a F350 to a Ranger with only a 7500 pound tow rating.

Not sure where in NC you are, but this who I bought mine from back in 2021 in Port Royal VA, they have a location in Eastern NC. I have the 83 x 18 LE wood Car Hauler, mine has aluminum wheels. I think I paid $3500ish in March of 21'. They were very friendly and helpful to deal with and trailer has been fantastic.

Ehh, quality control for anyone can be laking these days. There was a thread on here not long ago about a member extending his deck and the poor welds and missed welds on a high dollar name brand trailer were all over.

Aluminum trailer may be perfect 'off the lot', but overload it ,run on salty Ontario roads and ,oopsy.......

B2650 on a 16 ft (7K) landscape trailer. Not much room to spare. Hoe turned sideways to get gates closed.

same tractor with landscape rake on a 10K 20 footer...it uses the whole trailer.

20 footer with the hoe on...

Moral of the story, get a trailer bigger than you think you need.

Hard to argue with that. I never thought that I'd need more than the 22ft hydraulic deck over that I bought a while ago but I was wrong. I'll pick up a 30ft gooseneck once I get a "new" truck in a couple of years.

Having more room allows for more options when it comes to arranging the load, so longer is better in my book.

Love my PJ Trailers 18 ft beaver tail dual axle, 7,000 lb GVW for hauling my exact same tractor.
I'll dig up my usual loaded trailer pics.
Let's just say it handles very well hauling with loader or blower on front, and any rear implement attached.

As well with the BH77 and LA534 loader on I've taken this rig over hundreds of kms highway trips for landscaping and other jobs. I've also added the SSQA forks with the BH and loader on most jobs. They're just too handy to leave at home.







Ok here's the bucket+forks job demo... This was a fun job! Dig up and remove an old concrete foundation stub wall and footing.

Either trade in or sell your single axle trailer. Then go buy one large enough to carry anything you need to.
That way you aren't having to buy multiple trailer registrations every year.
