Since you have the glow plugs out you can check them with a battery and cables

I ordered new glow plugs. It did not get hot when I pulled out to inspect. It all started when I used the glow plugs feature for the first time. I believe it must have shorted them out. Yes I had checked to see if I had flow.
That sounds like a plan, they are (should be) less than $10 each from the dealer. You may need a deep thin walled socket to get them in. I recall that the nuts on top were strange and had to use something (screwdriver?) to put them on.

I hope they get you going again.

Please post back the results.

Changed out plugs, pulled fuel injectors cleaned and blew out . Checked battery connections made adjustments. Cleaned ground contact to frame. Got it to run a little bit after using a whole can of ether. It would not get to full throttle. Still sounds like a fuel issue. I need to go get some fresh diesel. I did open up the throttle body to inspect, I did notice there is a spring attached internally. Liquid in there was black.

Mmm

If you have been using ether then the engine is probably never going to run until it is rebuilt.

The rings are probably damaged and the rods may be bent.

Checking compression is the best place to start now.

You stated the answer to you problem, "Got it to run a little bit after using a whole can of ether."

You will now learn what a $6 can of starting fluid really cost!!!

hmm, maybe the moderators can 'mod' the website in the 'Welcome' page and add a DO NOT USE ETHER ON KUBOTA DIESEL ENGINES !!!!!!! warning label. maybe add as the first post and/or 'sticky' to every forum. Some kind of a 'heads up' to new members when they join ?

If this saves ONE engine, it's worth the time to do the editing......
