This is not another typical B3200 vibration issue, I promise! My B3200 ran smooth until the chipper jammed and stalled the engine twice this past late fall. Vibration is not bad but very noticeable from that way it was. Its most noticeable when the front blower is on, so it almost seems like a driveline issue. It does seem a bit worse when the engine is run up in neutral than it was before but much more so with blower running. Seems worse the more I accelerate when blowing snow too.

So my question is what do you guys think it could be. Give me some of your thoughts and ideas to save me a road tech visit for $$$. Could the pump timing have been thrown off, could engine mounts or any other Mounts be causing this?? Hydraulic pump??

What does it do with no pto power engaged? I'd be tempted to suspect your pto blower if when using it is when you notice it most. Driveline bent?

MagKarl thx for the response. The vibration is worse when front blower is running but really only at certain speeds. I cannot see or feel or make anything move that might be loose. Do you know if the quick but not abrupt engine stoppage could throw the pump timing off?

Let be see if I got this strait...

#1 You had a wood chipper that stalled your tractor this last fall, now you have the snow blower on it and it's now got a vibration, Am I right so far?

#2: The chipper runs off the back PTO, right?

#3: The snowblower runs off the Mid PTO, right?

#4: You only noticed the vibration with the blower and not the chipper?

There is no motor mounts everything is solid mounted to the frame and other pieces. Stalling an engine will not throw the injection pump out of time.
If the engine is running rough I would suspect that you have either a fuel or air problem. Check the air filter, check the fuel filter, check the fuel, if it's old dump it and get fresh fuel.
If it's just a vibration you need to check out the snowblower for mis-adjusted, mis-lined, bent or broken parts.

Re: Tractor Vibration after chipper jammed/ the Cure?

NI Wolfman,

thanks for the ideas and thoughts. Sorry but I have been away.
I did everything you suggested pretty much before I did the first post. This is what I found today. Mid pot drive shaft collar had slipped back slightly maybe from a snow bank or ???. I removed both the pto and blower shafts and checked both with a straight edge for straightness. Greased em both up again and put them back on. Then I rechecked the blower and checked chain adjustment. I really don't think I found anything of significance but the vibration is gone. I completely serviced the tractor 10 hours ago so I suppose I could have not snapped the pto shaft collar far enough forward to click. Anywho, she's good and running like the smooth girl she was.

Thanks to all that responded, much appreciated

Have two ask you two things with regards to B3200. I just bought mine new in Sept. How do you like the front snowblower ? I bought the 3200 just for the mid PTO for that. Also do you feel vibration at high rpm ? Funny I did not notice it till I read about it. Probally just never was going high enough on the rpm. I do love the machine.
