Tractor turns over but won’t start

A quick and easy first check would be for fuel flow. Try to find your air bleed bolt around the fuel filter or injection pump. With the key on accessory loosen the bleeder. Are you getting a clean flow with no bubbles?

I have video of what it’s doing, but not sure how to upload it. I’d say it is quickly, then tries to start for a split second before clicking again
So, I jumped it and it started. Guess the battery might be the issue…..
Yep, time for a new one, it sounds like. But, I'd check to make sure it is charging before throwing a battery at it.
I ran it for around twenty minutes, shut it off and it restarted. I’m gonna go back out later and see if it starts again. Appreciate ya!

My stock answer. Load test the battery after charging. Just because it reads fully charged with a multimeter under no load doesn't mean the battery is good condition. Voltage sag may drop it significantly if the battery is not healthy. Might start in warm conditions, but then on the first cold day. Zilch. Increase internal resistance with the cold. Not enough watts to turn the motor on.
Unsure if true. Was told running a marginal battery puts more stress on your alternator. If you are like me where the tractor sits for long periods of time unused. Consider a battery maintainer/charger. Quality charger cost is more than offset by the extra life span of the battery.
Side note. A friend who use to work for Ford as an electrical engineer noted the minimum spec for the battery installed or as he commented, more like the maximum spec for a battery was one that could sit 30 days and still start the vehicle. On day 31 it doesn't

Being a cheapo I tend to keep batteries until I know I'm tempting faith. After fully charging I just connect the load tester when I suspect a new battery might be needed. That and a maintainer/charger has limited the number of batteries replaced. Total of three including the original battery over 25 years on the previously owned tractor. The 3rd was replaced a few months before I traded in the tractor for the BX in April of '25.. Load test revealed that the 2nd battery might not make it through the winter.
Using the Norco Genius 5 on the BX since day one. Bit overkill. The Genius 1 would have been adequate. Sale price made it close to G1. Charger and maintainer that doesn't overcharge your battery. Doesn't draw many watts when in maintaining mode.

I kinda had the same issue with my 2620. In my case I but a new battery in, started ran then after sitting would not start, I jumped it and it started, then would not start. I re-tighten the battery connections and it starts and runs just fine now. Anytime I have a issue like this first thing I do is check those connections.

Bad battery (low amps not volts) have the battery load tested.
Bad battery connections, can be + or - and can be at either end, most commonly the - at the tractor end.
Bad battery cables, if there is heavy corrosion at the battery end you can suspect this.
