Tractor stuck in gear

I have a Kubota bx2680 that's been having starting issues. It may start fine for awhile then out of the blue it won't start. All it will do is click. Nothing is engaged, has a good battery, etc. With the lever in neutral and in 2wd, I was going to push it up on my trailer but I can't move the mower at all. Parking brake isn't locked. It's stuck in gear and I can't move it forward or backward.

It won't start? Or move? Is the shift lever moving at the transmission? Is the PTO engaged? Need more information about issue and how it started.

It won't do either. I was going to load it up and take to my buddies house to look at. I can't get it started but I can't get it back into neutral to get it to roll.

Clean battery connections and re-evaluate. Does the forward/reverse level move?

If it is a gear transmission,it may be stuck in 2 gears at once. I'm not sure Kubota's can have this happen. MF, and Fords certainly can, when the linkage gets worn, and the shift forks jump out of their slots.

It won't start or roll with it not in neutral. Try rocking the tractor while trying to move the shift lever.

The connections are clean. The lever moves easily.

"Clean" at BOTH ends of each cable?

OK now does the level move at the transmission? Now unplug and replug every connection.
