The above replies in the thread detail the component needed. A little plug for about 98 dollars from Kubota. If the female (tractor side) of the connection is broken, the PTO controller must be removed. It's just three bolts, but you must drain the entire transmission or else you will make a big mess in your barn;) The female part is only about 50 dollars. You need a "C" clamp to reassemble the controller. Otherwise easy-peasy.

I recommend everyone make some sort of belly pan to protect these dainty tractors from brush that you drive over when mowing. I have broken both the male and female parts of this connector. So, I will not drive it again until I make some sort of protective shield under the tractor. Next weekend's project.

$94.00 for a new plug. Forget catalytic converters, addicts can start cutting plugs.

After some interweb searching and following up on some of the leads posted on this thread I have a solution in progress, although it will take 16 to 17 weeks to show up.
I contacted a company called Corsa-technic.com and exchanged several emails with Sarah who did some research on the on the information referenced in the Furukawa catalog mentioned in this thread.

PN: UW-2S KIT
Terminal: UW-SKT
Seal: UW-SL

She located the parts and ordered them, now just waiting for them to arrive. The good news is she has had some other requests for this part(s) so Corsa-technic might be a source in the future, however I had to order 25 kits, that was the minimum order. The good news is the kits were only $4.85 each, a whole lot less that the new wiring harness my dealership said I would have to order ($4k).

If someone needs a replacement plug now, I will have extras in the near future. thank you to all who responded and provided guidance.
Hey Gunrunner308, I have just had this same problem and need a new plug, do you have any available?

I know this is an older thread but I joined this forum because of this same issue I had with my 4802.
Has anyone successfully made some sort of protective part to shield this delicate piece of plastic?
I’m thinking building my own bracket or pan to fit around it is a necessity at this point. Luckily the wire only pulled out and I got it back in but I don’t want to break that cheap connector and have to go through the hassle of trying to get it fixed.
If anyone has made something to protect that connector on their tractor I would love to see what you did.

Hey folks, I am resurrecting this old thread, I ran into the same issue today. Was anyone able to source the right electrical plug? I reached out to Gunrunner308 but he apparently hasn't been around since Aug 2024. A bit of info I did find, the part number discussed above UW02F-B is for the housing of the wire connector. The guts for it is part number UWF-0.3 In the description it says "1.0 tab" there is a size like this in this universal auto pin set Automotive Connector Pin 1.0/1.5/2.2/2.8/3.5mm Electrical Car Terminals | eBay
My housing is good I may order this kit & try it-
I will definitely be making a skid plate, will post a picture.

Oilburner,

I appreciate the info on the plug. I would also really appreciate you sharing your idea for a skid plate with me when you get it done. I would weld on something on but it's a new tractor and I don't want to ruin the good paint under there with a weld and make it rust.

OK I got the pto working, not sure if I would call it 'fixed'.

Here is the connector kit I got off Ebay, the absolute Smallest size is 1.0. These are the guts that go in the weatherproof connector that broke off. There are male and female parts in the kit, we want the Female part = looks kinda like a blunt hypodermic needle at the end. You can see the connector plug part that goes at the end of the wire. This 'repair' is hoping to put the new guts in the original plug.

Here is the TINY wire with the original (yellow) weather seal. Yes it is that small - my hands are average size. I thought I took a pic while attaching the new fitting but I don't see it on my phone. My yellow weather seal was in pretty bad shape, I believe it kept the assembly from fully seating in the connector housing. The new part has two sets of folding clamps, one to grab the bare wire, the other to hold the yellow seal. I have a special set of crimping pliers for this, I'll attach a generic pic of them, the kits you can get off ebay or such are Much larger than 1.0 size, but the crimping plier does have provisions for that size.

Now that you have crimped the new piece on, you must insert it into the connector. You can't just poke it in there, you must disassemble the connector first. Here is a pic of the tool I used, and the orange part comes out. You poke the tool into the end that the wire goes into. That washer in the picture has 5/16" hole for size reference. When you get the orange piece out, then you insert the wire with the new fitting - my yellow seal thing was pretty boogered up, I feel it kept the wire assembly from going in as far as I would have liked. Then you push the orange piece back in there until it is fully seated. There are actually 2 holes in the housing, but only one is used - the other hole on mine had a foam plug in there. Your results may vary. Once it's all back together, snap it back onto the connector that is mounted on the tractor and work the little condom back over it, say a little prayer & see if it all works.
I will give this band-aid a try and see if it holds. I have an idea for a rudimentary skid to help keep stuff from poking up in there and causing this to happen again. I got projects backing up now & it is pretty warm here so not sure when that will happen.

Oilburner,

Thank you for the write up. Do you possibly have the links to the supplies you bought off of Amazon? I would like to go ahead and buy them to have so that I don’t have to wait on them or try to figure it out when mine breaks again
I would really appreciate it!
