I guess wherever you live most would want their shop and "toys" there as well to keep you occupied, and within an hour from "concrete" as my friend from Chicago used to say.

Mine is 150 feet from my Living Room, locked in a metal bldg, guarded by my German Shepard and my 12 gauge.

Sounds slightly paranoid George... Both mine are in the hay barn with the keys in the ignitions about 500 feet from the house. Of course both have battery disconnects on them (and disconnected). I have them so when I leave them at a remote hayfield, they are there the next day. Of course they are insured.

And maybe for number of toys!
Most of them were worked till dead and left to rust away.. luckily my closest neighbor about 3 miles away likes me and has lived there for 60 years and knows everyone and most of them aside from the bobcat and Ford I got for a few hundred or less.. paid 2k for bobcat and had to rebuild a drive motor and 2 rams and lots if new hoses.. ford was 2500 and needed a head gasket and injectors and lots of hoses.. i spent 3 winters after building my shop up there fixing all this stuff, and old generators, made my own hoses after I bought a ton of hoses and ends and a crimper from a equipment shop that was closing down.

What State are you in? I dunno, it seems most every State has a way to get us one way or the other.....
Yeah.... Darn those things the state spends money on like streets, fire departments, police, water systems, deed registrations, civil courts, schools so children can have jobs when they grow up instead of becoming criminals and needing us to house them in concrete institutions ... it never ends, the things the state does without asking me....

Mine usually stays about 100 yards away in the basement of a house that’s been unoccupied and used mostly for storage for about 15 years. Still maintain heat and A/C in the house (for the sake of the house and some of the contents) so the tractor and implements should be comfy there. Right now it’s in the basement at my house and my bedroom is directly over it so it’s currently about six feet away, albeit straight down through the floor, when I’m sleeping. That’s close enough for me. Anywhere offsite: too far.

Mine is in a storage shed on my hunting land, 100 miles away. We have a cottage a few miles away from the hunting land, but it has been several years since the tractor has left my hunting land. I normally do all of the maintenance and repairs back there.

Mine used to be 30 miles away in the garage beside my rural get-away home. But I finally thought to myself "why have two properties"? So I sold the home in town, now my tractor's home is just 50' out the back door.

Do any of you who have second property at remote locations ever to plan on moving there one day?

Mines at our farm 150 miles away. We have 120 acres with about 60 tillable and the rest woods. I'm planning on retiring in 5 years and moving out there. I can't wait.

I just built a barn at my hunting property for my tractor. Probably 30 miles from my house.

Nice building there Jreidy85, and you have room for more toys!
Right? The wife thinks I've spent enough money already. I disagree. I atleast need to build myself a workbench and get a fridge stocked with beer.

The old 1974 model 1530 John Deere lives at the Cabin/farm property 46 miles away. The M4900 Kubota lives here at home but occasionally "she" has a sleepover with the JD. She is there now and I kinda suspect that something is going on between them. ;)

If anyone sees me driving a spotted tractor the secret will be out.

Would that be a JDKBTQ relationship?
