Need some advise on tractor insurance. I live in Ontario, Canada and my insurance company wants $490.00 per year to insure my new BX1870. A buddy of mine has a BX2670 and he pays a rider on his home insurance $38.00 per year. To add, my insurance company says the BX will only be insured on my property. Now don't get me started on insurance companies and banks, cuz I won't stop talkin. Looking for some advise....thx

Not sure about Canada, but my homeowners insurance has a personal property rider that blankets anything I own whether it's a diamond ring or a log splitter up to a total of $80K. The cost of this rider policy is well under $400 (US) per year.

The Kubota insurance for my BX2370 is US$195/year. I got it as part of the Kubuta 0% financing. You can buy it separately. Ask you dealer about it.

The Kubota insurance (if not financed through Kubota) cannot be purchased separately in Canada. Not sure why, but I did call them and that is what they told me.

Home owners insurance policies vary greatly as to what they cover and do not cover and what riders you can add. My policy covers the FULL REPLACEMENT of my L275 while it is on my property, all possessions on my property and full replacement cost of all buildings. If a new L275 is not available, it will replace it with a tractor of equal or greater capacity.:D (I have had this policy for 27 years and is no longer available). I can NOT attach a rider for the tractor off my property. A $1,000,000 umbrella policy covers me for any liability while off my property.
