Is there a good textbook or go to web site to learn about tractor hydraulics?
I agree a wealth of information is available from knowledgeable members on this site, definitely take up their offers of help. It was invaluable when I added a 3 spool valve to my tractor.

Returning to your original question, I also found this https://www.munciepower.com/cms/files/Products/Literature/Documents/Training/TR-G93-01.pdf very handy for understanding the broader picture. While it's for Muncie truck mounted systems a lot of the information is transferable, its from a very reputable company and its quite concise.

fine with me use your tube all you want

doesn't solve the fact that the kubota parts FIT and they are specifically designed for your equipment.

sometimes one can engineer a part to work, but what is the cost, vs the OEM part? And how much time did you spend on it?

I've been in all those situations....trust me. As I age, I want to do LESS work, not more. 14 hours a day is plenty.
