I have a L245 with around 730 hours on a rebuilt engine.
Im wanting to possibly invest in a three point hitch system, tires, and maybe a few other items.
This investment can easily exceed two thousand dollars.
My question does not require a specific answer but a ball park because I understand there are many variables.
With regular maintenance, should I expect to get over 2000 to 3000+ hours on an engine rebuild ?
Thanks

With proper maintenance you could reasonably go longer then 3000 hours. I have some kubota engines at work that have upwards of 10,000 hours on them and still running strong ;)

750 hours to me is not even broken in yet. But then I work in the rental buisiness. On some of my equipment, 750 hours is 5 weeks worth of run time ;)

Thats what I was hoping to hear.
I was skeptical about an engine rebuild and I understand that things do happen but was curious about the average.
Thanks.

I have a B7100 with 825 hours ....runs like new - going up a 25% slope it does place a few "particulates" in the air when the sun hits it just right!

I would think - depending on oil changes and service factors, 2500 to 3000 hours would be a good ball park.;)

It's not too difficult to find Kubota tractors for sale on CL with 6-10K hours on them.

Lugging a diesel engine (other then bad oil and no service) is the worst thing for one. Let the engine warm up a tad before you put it to work, then work it, then before shutting it down let it idle for another minute.

Good fluids, good service routine, good long life. Come to think about it, that pretty much goes for us humans also!:D

Last week I bid on a kubota powered genset D1703 with 16600 hours on it and wasn't concerned.
