I got this 2017 F350 in December. 6.7 Powerstroke. Before that I had an 08 F250 with 6.4 Powerstroke. Before that I had an 02 F250 with 7.3 Powerstroke. I’ve loved them all, but each has filled a new need I had with fitting kids and hauling capabilities. I have an 18’ trailer rated for 10,400.
I upgraded last year - was looking for a 3/4 Chevrolet and ended up finding a GM 1 ton dually for a steal of a price. It's a long truck with the extended cab and long box, but it sure can tow. Use it to pull the flatdeck or the dump trailer, no problems!
'18 F150, 2.7EB, 10AT. Fantastic LD tow vehicle, all the factory integrated TBC, BLIS, etc.. is great. The little 2.7 is a serious over-achiever. My last trip to the camp yielded 18mpg with just over 5000#'s between trailer & gear.
Because I am a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan and hated the cheesy looking 4x4 stickers that Ford put on it at the factory. Tried it with nothing for a bit but it just looked too bare to me so I had a guy with a vinyl lettering shop make them for me.
The day I hauled it home. Trailer came with the tractor. That’s the only time I hauled it on that trailer. Soon after, it was introduced to my Sawzall and scrapped, as upon further inspection, it was a rusted and unsafe pile of junk. I’m looking to buy a new trailer. Truck is a 2016 Silverado Z71 1500.
