Is there a torque value for the axle hub bolts or is it just "hammer" them tight with an impact? I would like to move the hubs out. Right now they are on the most narrow setting.

Thanks

I would not hammer them ....
I use an impact too - but I place it on the lowest setting - and watch the socket carefully as I pull the trigger - when is "stops" moving - I quit.

Then I take a 4 way - and give them a grunt - not a grunt and a half, but maybe 50 lbs of umph.
Never broken a bolt - and always had to impact them off - which them come off fairly easily too.

There is a feel with a 4 way that seems to be a good reference point on cars/trucks/tractors.

Hokie, I'm not talking about lug bolts or lug nuts. I talking bout the bolts that secure the rear hub to the rear axle itself. The hubs are in the inner most setting (closest to the tractor) on the axle. I want to move the to the outter most setting on the axle.

Don't hammer the hub bolt down, it's just a clamp.
Read the bolt head, that will tell you (via a chart in the WSM) how tight you need them.

Also consult the OPS or WSM for the proper setting of the hubs as you can NOT move the hub to the extreme outer limits without the hub in the proper orientation.

Thanks wolf man. I was hoping you'd chime in.

The issue I have is there are very few WSMs offerings out there for the B7300 and they're quite expensive compared to other B series manuals.

The Cotter set bolt and nut to hold the wheel to the axle is torqued to 108 ft-lbs.
