Welcome to OTT. Sounds like a nice machine. What will you be using it for?

Congratulations Mike!
In it's day, that Ford 3930 was no slouch though!

We have 30 acres in Alabama. So, this is a bit more tractor than I really needed, but it is kind of a dream too. I'm retired now, and I may help some of my friends with their hay operations in the summers. We'll see. Thanks, Mike.

Awesome! A dream tractor for many of us here for sure! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the beast in action and hearing all about it.

Did you have to order it or was it on the lot?

That is awesome! I'll be pulling a plow behind the M6060 this year.
How have you been? What size plow are you going to pull? I found an Oliver 546 4-16s a farmer just wanted rid of it, it was in a machine shed and the moldboards were greased, it scoured right away. I am glad I have the extra weight, some of the ground is fairly heavy.

It's too wet down here right now to play with the new tractor. Plus I need to get my concrete slab poured and the sides put on my shed. Nevertheless, here is the new iron:

Nothing extremely heavy, but I do plan to regularly use a two-shank subsoiler which should be no problem (but probably the hardest pull of anything for me). It will be nice to have more horsepower that I probably really need than less though! I also plan to chase down an offset disk harrow at some point.

I had assumed that I would never find exactly what I wanted on the lot, but I did. Bought it at Beshears Tractor in Opelika, Alabama. A great dealer in my opinion. At thay time, it was the only M5-111 on their lot. There isn't a lot of row cropping around here, and the M5 line is typically the largest they keep on the lot. There are a lot of hay operations around here, and the M5 seems well suited for that. Thanks for all the kind words on the thread.

I see you are slowly transitioning from the New Holland to the Kubota. The new tractor sure matches what is under the tee shirt! Glad to see you placed orange above blue... :ROFLMAO:

Wonderful tractor!
