I found a front loader bucket and box blade for my Kubota L285 for 1100, including shipping from PA. Has anyone done business with
James Tractor Spare Parts?

When you say "bucket" - you mean the sub frame and ALL the hydraulic works that MUST go with it?

James Tractor Spare Parts always declares to have the part you need. They are know as a "scam" on a Grasshopper forum I frequent. I'd be VERY cautious dealing with them. They show a tractor salvage yard which misleads folks.

You might ask them to send some specific pictures of the items. See if you receives picture of what you ask. Do not send any funds hoping you get what you think they have. From what I've seen I would only purchase from them if I was there and saw the item in person, have it on my trailer with a bill of sale, then pay.

Not sure where they claim to be. Freight alone to California would be close to $1100.00 . Run away as fast as you can. If I had a decent loader for your tractor I would ask a minimum$2500.00

FB says they're in Gilbertsville, about an hour East of me in PA. Area code shown on FB for phone is Louisiana. Spelling of tire is sometimes tyre. Couldn't find any local info on Google. I'd be very suspicious.

My guess is that if anything, someone is posting pics of things that other people have for sale. Could be they are doing it for a finder's fee or they're simply scam artists.

Nice to see the OP is aware enough to have a gut feeling this is a scam, because it is.
Scammers are getting very creative these days.

Thank you for all your replies. I told them that if they shipped to me COD I would buy. But I am not sending them any money until the implements are delivered to me. I can't believe the amount of time we spent going back and forth about it, them insisting on me paying the shipping of $300, (an unbelievable amount). They also kept giving paypal addresses that were not for a business.

My brother had a similar situation a few years back while trying to buying a car. Same kind of negotiating going on. He asked my opinion and I googled the address he gave and it was a funeral home. He lives in Colorado and the car was (suposively) in Calif. Across the street from the funeral home showed a small car lot. I looked up the number and called there. The owner told me he get calls like this all the time. they don't exist, but they are good at getting you to believe you're getting a bargain.

Just wait until AI get further development, we'll all be proven fools!!

No, just the bucket.
Do you already have a front end loader, and just need a new bucket? I think there are plenty of places to buy those inexpensively - you may be surprised how inexpensive your Kubota dealer is for something like that.

It sounds like a scam, but it may not be. Buckets don't sell for a lot more than scrap value, so I can't see that you'd get a lot of discount by buying from a wrecker, and you get a lot of shipping cost.

Yes, I have a front end loader, my bucket is bent and has a couple of cracks in it.

Barbara, you're in Calif. Might contact "007kubotaguy" on this form. He's located in Calif and has many L series parts, especially the older models. Probably has a bucket.

Buckets are just steel. You can panel beat/rebend them, and they weld very easily. If you don't need it to be pretty, I'd just get it fixed.

Failing that, Kubota buckets are quite interchangeable. They used the same pin spacing and sizes for years across different tractor models. It could be worth a call or e-mail to Messicks to see what new bucket might fit, and then from there you may have a lot more options.
