July 28, 2022, Athens, Tennessee: Titan Implements announced today that it has changed its name to IronCraft. The new name better reflects the company’s steadfast commitment to manufacturing high quality agricultural implements and providing unmatched service. Nothing about the products or service will change except for the name of the company. The leadership team will also remain the same.



“We believe that by distinguishing our products and company at this time, there can be no confusion as to where our products come from and what we stand for,” says IronCraft CEO Pat Kozlowski. “Our new name will only reinvigorate our company's commitment to our dealers and to the craftsmanship of our products.”

Good to know! I was just wondering yesterday if Iron Craft was knocking off Titan products I had looked up their grapples and IC came up as a hit.

Titan Implements announced today that it has changed its name to IronCraft.

It's good that they're getting away from any association with Titan Attachments which is basically Chinese crap.

Yeah, I went to a local dealer that sells TI, and carries a full line. I decided to come back home and look at the specs on the stuff to make an intelligent decision, and when I went to the website I photographed on the side of one of the brush cutters, it wound up Iron Craft as well.

Don't really care what the name is on it, as long as it doesn't explode when I use it.

I wonder how much of the actual reason was ending their being confused with Titan Industries? Titan industries markets overseas made low priced attachments and implements. Their fit and finish is not great, but they do the job (until they break) , and are OK for occasional use. Titan Implements (now Ironcraft) makes high quality professional grade attachments and attachments. If I were Titan Implement's Marketing Manager I would have been asking for the name change despite the short term issue of getting the customer base to recognize the new name.

I too think they should have done it years ago, I can only speculate why they didn't, but I'm sure money had a lot to do with it.

Name changes usually happen when one company that has been using the name longest challenges the newcomer saying that the similarity in name usage causes a disruption in the marketplace. i.e. People are not certain which company they are dealing with. My bet is that their use of the name was confusing to customers and dealers and they probably wanted to avoid a protracted and expensive legal battle. This is why most companies that do business in interstate commerce usually trademark their name and logo.

Yeah, I noticed that last night and thought it was kind of dumb not to have a redirect of some sort. That's why I included a link in your disc thread.

Normally there would be a redirect unless there is a court order to stop using the name in it entirety, or at least an injunction until the case can be heard.
