I have R1 tire on my L3301HST and the left front is badly checked, it looks like that side of the tractor was parked in the sun a lot as that side the paint is fadded more than the other side.
Questio can I replace that 1 tire or should I replace both front tires?
There is only 540 hrs on the tractor so the other tires are not worn that much.
Any and all info is welcome!

I would do nothing unless/until it fails.

Got any pictures? Could it be from the tires and wheels setting on a dealers lot before they were installed on the tractor?

You can absolutely replace it with a matching one. I would counsel against mismatched tires.

Swap it left/right.

But if you do purchase a new tire(s) …. keep in mind the ratios necessary on 4WD machines so you don’t stress the driveline.

I was thinking of replacing just the one frony tire of same size, brand and tread style!

If it’s gonna bug ya, you absolutely can replace just one with an identical tire, so long as the other tire isn’t significantly worn.

That being said, with these being extremely low speed units, I’d be inclined to just run the thing.

To each their own.

The front tires on my old L185F (2WD) could be the original tires. They are so badly weathered and checked they were leaking air slowly. That was just annoying to deal with so I used some Flatout sealant and laid the tires on their side for some time (flipping them over some). That fixed the slow leaks so I haven’t changed them yet. I still plan on replacing all four sometime just to get better traction and less leaks. One rear leaks down now and has some water in it so don’t want to use sealant.

Flat-Out is the Best tire-sealant ever. It actually does the job, even on large holes. Scoop it out of an old tire…and put it in the new tire when you mount it.…. continues to do the job perfectly.
Never messes up a tire or tube like that other junk. Made in Spring, Texas.

Edit!

the prvious owner ran it in 4wd all the time so front tires are worn about 50 %.
So I think I will just run them until I cant then replace both front tires.
Thanks for all the help.

I have used Flat Out with great success. The only bad thing I have had happen is the valve core seems to get glued in place in a couple of tires. When I tried to remove the valve core the inner part came out but not the external threaded part.

One tire was tubeless front tire on a lawnmower. It was leaking slowly again so I took the valve stem out to put a bit more Flat Out in but destroyed that core in the process. Since it was a small diameter wide turf tire I didn’t want to try to break it down and reseat it. Took it to a tire repair shop and they installed a new valve stem. They stated the tire had multiple holes all over that couldn’t be repaired but it is still holding air after the addition of the Flat Out.

The other was a tubed 10 inch tire on a cart that I wanted to let the air out of to adjust the tube position in the tire. But again the inner part of the valve stem came apart when unscrewing it.

Have you hade any issues like that?
