You should get chains that are designed for your particular tractor. Ask your dealer what he has available, or start looking online. This company makes chains for a lot more than are listed on their website. Keep in mind that American made chains are going to cost more than those that come from China, however, the American made chain should be a better made chain. https://stpierreusa.com/

The only experience I've had with tractor chains was about 35 years ago on a 2 WD tractor that had turf tires. Those chains looked like regular ladder chains and worked very well. I've seen people with industrial or agricultural tires post that other chain patterns work much better on their tires because ladder chains fall into voids between lugs and are useless.

Another factor is clearance between the fender and the wheel.

Very true. I’m only guessing an L175 with R-1’s should have clearance in the wheel well.

My concern would be on the top of the tire to the fender.

Something to look at closely before attempting. 👍
