I am new owner of a B7001D 4x4 ( with front loader and rear 3 point hitch) and have bought a tipping trailer for muck. The trailer and tractor both have a quick fit hydraulic connector, however I am not sure how to divert the hydraulic power from 3 point hitch or loader to the trailer.
I have been told to raise the 3 point hitch to max height at which point the hydraulic fluid will be directed to the trailer ram... is this correct as so far it has not worked... am I missing something...
thanks

Any chance you can post some photos of how you have the setup plumbed in?

I have a hydraulic hose coming out of the same place, but it goes back to and plugs into the weird creeper gear that slows the transmission down to use the tractor with a trencher attachment. Yours doesn't look like that.

Honestly, I don't know how it all works. If I connect the hose to the creeper gear, I lose the ability to operated the 3 point. If it is not hooked in, the 3 point works fine. I am making a dangerous assumption, that this is ok. As the previous owner had it this way. I plug it in every once and a while to put some fluid over the gears, I think. I wish someone knew more about this creeper gear thing. It sounds like there aren't many around.

Photos of the set up on the tractor:
The trailer just has the male connector.

When you try to raise the 3 point does the feed back lever push the control handle back to center? If it does you will need to adjust the feed back rod (or temporarily disconnect it) to allow the arms to raise fully. Then the pressure will flow out the hydraulic hose to the dump cylinder.

Yes, I think it did, .....The feedback lever started to hit against the control handle preventing me from raising the arms further. I will adjust it tomorrow and give it a go.. many thanks

Hi and welcome,
You dont appear to have the diverter tap cover fitted on your machine, so the fluid just flows out when the piston reaches the top.
I have the correct fitment cover with the diverter handle ,which, allows you to use either the 3pt hitch or hydraulic tipping option .
alot had it as standard but lots of earlier models didnt.
Its just on the spares shelf if you are interested in it.

Rob,

Do you think I am missing this diverter too? When I have an attachment on the 3 point , on the ground, and I plug in the hose, it won't lift up. When I have the attachment on the 3 point and it is up and I plug in the hose, it falls to the ground.

Where does this diverter go? Any pictures? I would like to use the creeper gear and the 3 point on my vegetable farm.

Any ideas?

15 min job normally.
undo 4 bolts, remove the non -diverter cap, and refit repalcement.
dont forget to lubricate the o-ring on the cap prior to refitting.
have a cloth nearby and also under the cap area to soak up any oil that may leak out.
refit new cap and reconnect your hyd lines to it, jobs a good one.;)

yep,here you go.

all you need to do is swap over the caps and reconnect your trailer hose, all done.
Now that's cool. My '79 B7100 doesn't have it but I wish it did. Do you know what the part number is for that? I'd love to add it if it's as simple as you say...

part # 66404-36600 . Messicks lists it for somewhere around $600. I am not sure if the part is available or not. Sometimes you can find the part and the price but when you order they tell you that it is no longer available.

Just finally found it. Eeep. $595. Don't have a need for it that badly yet...guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for one being parted out or something.

Problem sorted , I temporarily disconnected the feed back lever from the control arm which meant I could have the control arm on maximum resulting in the fluid being diverted to the tipping trailer... thanks for the advice
