Hi, just joined this forum recently. Have spent more time on another forum previously but am looking to trade some green paint in for orange.
Question, when during the year does Kobota change its model year typically. Right now it looks like 2019 is what is on the lots. I do realize that tractors are a little different than autos and hours is more important than model year but they do change based on serial numbers. I'm particularly interested in B2601 if it matters. Thanks.

Latest version of the B2601HSD-1 is out now. Main change is the swift-tach loader with the hydraulic block like the BX, the new R-14 tires are also a change and available

With orange tractors, the serial number may show when it was made but as for tractor year, it is normally consider the year the tractor was actually purchased.

If it was me i would get the 19' version of the 2601, both of our bx 80 series tractors we had were very problematic with that hydraulic single point for the loader.... were prone to leaking, i think between the two we warrantied warrantied 4 valves, and the 2680 was leaking again when it got traded. Also, IMO the pin attach setup for the loader is more stout than the swift attach apparatus, the 80 series had quite a bit of movement between the loader arm and the cradle .

X 3, the swift tac Loader leaves a lot to be desired. The manifold hyd hose set up is a abortion and quite "rube goldberg" from a design aspect. I probably have less than 20 hours home-owner use on the loader and the arms have about 2" of back and forth movement. This loader is the only part of my tractor set up that I don't like.
