My Ariens S-16 has down pressure on the three point therefor the lift arm has a slotted hole on the tiller end to allow it to bounce if it needs.

Welcome to GTT
When I stated no down pressure on 3 pt I was referring to a "real tractor" not a lawn mower type tractor.:D

Wow, I feel really lucky. Here in southeast South Dakota, when I wanted to put in a garden, the tiller behind my BX2360 chewed right through the sod, and chewed up the dirt as fine as could be. It was a mix of black dirt with a little clay. One thing to also keep in mind is the skids that are put on either side of the tiller are there to set the depth of the bite, and should be adjusted to prevent excess pushing from the tines, and not just set all the way up, adjusting the depth with the 3 Pt.

Thanks for all the useful info!
