I'll assume it's 26HP (bx-26-80 ) so something 42-48" wide would be OK. Something just wider than the track of the tires OR a unit that can be 'side shifted', to cover right tire track.
Big issue is virgin soil or garden in use ? It's nasty to rototill sod into soil !! You MUST go dead slow(easy with HST) and make 4 passes. N->S, S->N,E->W,W->E.
I run a 5' behind my A-C D-14 and only now, after 5 years of soil amendments( compost, ponypoop, grass, etc. does it till GREAT. 2 passes...E-W,W-E, and garden's good to seed.

I run a 50" behind my 2370 with no problems. Broke up a 70x80 patch of never before tilled ground, mixture of sand/black dirt. 2 passes and it was a perfect seed bed. Tiller does not slow down/drag the eng down at all, I go slow in low, full throttle and done. I only need to hit the garden once every 3-4 years with a tiller now to turn under several years of mulch I apply every spring/fall. You should have no problems with a 50/54" tiller, mines a Land Pride 50RTR.
