I purchased a well used (and abused, more like destroyed) B1750 via craigslist as a secondary unit for hanging my three point Cosmo concrete mixer on the back. The yanmar 223 I also own has the backhoe option and switching between the three point hitch and frame mounted backhoe is slow, clunky and somewhat dangerous. Hence the B1750.
It has an aftermarket hard shell cab that does have a data plate certifying its replacement for the OEM ROPS bar. The cab is nothing great and they really hacked up the tractor to install it. If this tractor does not turn out to be a total lemon I would like to get a replacement ROPS bar and fabricate new rear fenders.
Of the more pressing things I would like to figure out is the position control lever for the lift arms of the three point hitch.

#120 on the exploded view and all of its associated little bits and pieces are missing. The 'feedback rod' #70 and all of its associated bits and pieces are present.
The position control lever has no 'feel' or friction drag to it at all. If you do not hold it, it will fall to the floor. On my Yanmar it also has a guide plate setup sort of like Kubota, but the lever has a firm steady drag to it across the range of motion. It will stay were you put it without an external lock.
Does the Kubota design follow the same idea ? is it totally normal to be 'loose' and it relies on the guide plate 'upper' and lower' stops (#130– in the diagram) to keep it in position ?
I do have the service manual downloaded and have read the section on the lift valve, what to check and adjusting the feedback rod to prevent over traveling the lift arms.
