Thread and Post approval..... how long does it take?

Just trying to get a ball park idea. At first assumed approval was due to being a newby here..... but then some generic post I left went in w/out approval message and this thread came up w/out needing an approval note popping up.

A new thread I started hmmm.... 36ish hours ago, is still waiting for approval and one post in another thread written about that time too?

Guessing its cause both have links in them?
