Anyone have an opinion on a T133 skid steer that I am looking at. Don't want to afford a true Kubota(S65) that I am drooling over just need a cheap first skid steer for a project.

Years ago there was a dealer some what close in my area. There were several around. Friend of mine bought one new because they were cheaper. The Kubota engine was no issues but the rest of the machine was a lot to be desired. They were a no frills machine. He had it probably five years until he was sick of it and sold it. I think you would find parts for the machine other than the engine hard to get now days. I would pass on it.

That's not a bad model.
It has a V1902 IDI engine.
If it starts easy then you're golden.
This era of engine was prone to overheating and cracking the heads.
And if someone didn't keep an air cleaner on it, low compression can result, and hard starts.

Very similar to my 743 Bobcat and that is a beast of an old machine, Mine has seen a ton of work!
I had a lot of issues with the V1702 IDI and did a swap to a V2203 DI and it's been a workhorse ever since.

My $0.02 ....
They are a royal pain in the azz to work on ... unless you have tiny hands and enjoy frustration.

Last year I was in the same situation.... ended up buying an older New Holland.
With the boom up (and locked) you have complete access to the engine compartment.

I put a starter and relay in mine / rebuilt the injectors... a few other things. No problem at all.
and I've got some big paws.

Yes working on them can be a bit cramped, this is for sure.
