How does a socket engage the flats..beyond the “cone” or “bulge”…?

Not sure D2Cat ever did that....... now I have had a student or two do that, but BEFORE they tightened them - I asked them "what is wrong with this picture?"

That rim would be bad news to use again!

Nuts are on the wrong front wheel, need to go on the OTHER side of the car.

Welp, based upon that picture the idiot who mounted that tire put it on the wrong side of that thar vehicle. Clearly, with the angular part of those nuts facing westerly, the tire/wheel combo would need to be facing the waning globulus of the easterly sun To be able to achieve the appropriate tightness.

Crazy enough though, my first car (1977 Buick Regal) you could actually put the lugnuts on backwards....Ask me how I know....hahahahhaha

That's what 12 sided sockets are for! Just hammer them on...
