Trying to track down a hydraulic leak on my B3200 and noticed what looks like a bushing or the like on the end of this shaft (which I don't know what it is). Should this be snug up against the engine block?

Try dusting the area with talcum powder or baking flour to help identify your leak. I doubt the shaft should be snug against the block. Good luck.
Where the shaft comes out of the gray housing, is the seal tight on the shaft?

NOTE: Wrote the response below before I noticed your reference to "engine block."
I'm really not sure what this connection is, and whether heading fore or aft.
Also don't know if this is the engine side or the HST side. What I see makes me think this a the HST, and not the engine block, but guessing.
Could be shaft from engine to HST (propeller), or HST to front differential.
Each have their own issues. More information would be helpful.
Need to check parts diagram as noted below.
Not sure what shaft connection that is, but guessing shaft toward the front differential to give you 4WD?
I'm only guessing there was a "boot" to cover that connection. Can see some paint peeled off nearby surfaces.....when a boot went south and tore off?!?!
There often is a cover on the front-end of that connection. Not sure of the back-end, if I even have the right one....

I'm sorry my description was very vague. Looking at the picture, the engine is to the left. This shaft is spinning when tractor is running but not in gear - is the drive shaft that thin?
Anyway, as soon as the tractor was started, I did see fluid dripping from this area. I will search that link - thanks.
The bushing at the end of the shaft is snug on the shaft - I thought it might have gotten loose and then pulled away from the engine block. any other thoughts as I peruse the parts list would be appreciated - happy tractoring!
Might be the propeller shaft, but I can't tell if 090 is what might be missing.
Found the real leak culprit. pretty sure this is the hydraulic coolant line that heads to the radiator. It's rubbing against the frame
Yes, the right-hand side drain plug.
I hope to patch this hole - maybe a rubber sleeve and hose clamps?

Looks like part of the loader subframe (the round orange part). That's quite a hard rubbing between the two parts, I'm guessing your fix will work, albeit temporarily. I would guess that the subframe (orange round part) should have some type of bushing or washer to separate it from that hydraulic line - Good Luck!
I just looked at mine, it's about 3/8" away. I'd try and get the line out of there and clean and braze it up with silver.
