Thinking of buying new instead of used

After looking and missing out on every used deal that I find, I have approached a couple of dealers about buying new. These dealers are the closest to me about the same distance, just one is north and the other is south of me. I am looking at getting the L4701 + Loader LA765 + R4 (Industrial Tires) + Pallet Forks + Box Scrape.

Dealer 1 says
84 Months @ 0% would be $29,020 + Tax
60 Months @ 0% would be $27,920 + Tax
Dealer says the difference is implement rebate doesn't count when you go over 60 months.

Dealer 2 says
60 or 84 Months @ 0% would be $27,600 + Tax
Dealer says it doesn't matter.

Is there anything that I am missing? If not, I am going with Dealer 2.

For kicks and giggles, I contacted another dealer
Dealer 3
84 Months @ 0% would be $31,859

Dealer 1 & 3 will fill the tires with Rim guard. Dealer 2 charges $300 for it. I'm thinking of not doing it as it does and weight all the time although I'm not sure how much weight it actually adds. I do plan on converting a 55 gallon drum I have into a ballast.

Is there anything that I am missing? If not, I am going with Dealer 2.

Have you priced the MX4800-MX5800 lineup? More bang for the buck! I had almost settled on the L4701 and then stepped up to the MX5800. Lots of differences for about the same price. Wider stance, cat 2 hitch, bigger axles, etc. Good luck in your decision either one would make a great choice!

I really don't want to go bigger. I really wanted the L3901 but I had to have the larger loader for a delivery I get each year so I have to go up to the L4701. If the price was a few hundred dollars, I could see it. I can't spend several thousand more dollars and justify it. It will be used more as a toy as it's not on a farm or acres of land.

I would get the tires rim guarded, it's 100% worth it!
and $300 is a fair /going price to do them.

There is a 4701 with loader listed locally here by a fellow who bought it and its not big enough. Has like 50 hours on it. Loader & R4 tires. I think he was asking 24k.... Let me hunt up the info for you.

It's a facebook ad. 2016 Kubota 4 wheel drive hydrostatic drive 47 horsepower tractor. Has 65.5 hours on it, always stored indoors, tractor is brand new and looks brand new, has the LA765 front loader on it with quick detach hydraulics. Also has quick detach for all of the front end implements. Have a factory Kubota bucket with cutting edge on it, set of pallet forks which are pictured and also comes with a brand new land pride box blade. Only reason for sale is moving into a track loader. Make me an offer. Could make a package deal with either a 28***8216; Top Hat gooseneck trailer or a 20***8217; open bumper pull, both are in great condition as well. Less

You didn't mention how much downpayment dealer may require to "get" that 0%...maybe as high as 20%...
Yes 20% as I'm going for 0%. I'll wind up paying it off early most likely. But the lesser the price overall the lower the 20% down.

I am also double-checking with each to see what 3rd function would cost and if I can afford getting the grapple now or get it later.

Are you close to Mount Airy by chance? Mount Airy Equipment seemed to have a good inventory and fair price/deal when I was looking.

kclark -- if you are not getting at least 15% off of the MSRP then you are leaving money in the deal...

with the discounts you can negotiate and ability to finance at 0% for 60 months -- buying new is certainly my preference - unless its a really low hour machine that you know has been well cared for...and even then, for me, there is some piece of mind knowing I'm the only guy thats used it and taken care of it how I prefer.

-----Oh and I think the dealers forgot to tell you, if you do the 84 months financing, even at 0%, the 84 month option requires 20% of purchase price down.

I just bought a 4701 a couple of months ago and love it!!! Got the same loader as mentioned, 5' bush hog, and 5' rotary tiller. $28,000 out the door @ 84mths 0%apr with all discounts. Wish I had gotten a grapple at purchase but, oh well.

I decided to also get the 3rd function for a future grapple. It may not be in the distant future though. I also thought about running lines to the rear for a future backhoe but I think I'm going to wait and run the lines when the bh is put on especially since it's financeable thru Kubota as well.

Now, not only is the dealer installing the 3rd function on the FEL, I'm having 2 remotes and Top and Tilt installed. I need to stop reading these forums and watching youtube videos.

Does your monthly payment include the Kubota insurance or are you insuring it on your own? The Kubota insurance literally covers everything where your own may not.
