Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

I have a number of trailers but my tractor hauler is a 22ft hydraulic tilt trailer with remote control, but I need a bigger trailer. I know a gooseneck trailer with a 25ft + 3ft or more deck is in my future so that I can haul the M6060 with the RC3712 folding cutter attached. I need 23ft to 24ft of deck space for that and I don't think it's possible to get away from ramps with trailers of that size.
You might be right, maybe have to go up to a 26 footer? Have you really looked, or just have not seen any locally? I would think that you can get one built if you just have to have that size.

I don't want to take this thread off into the weeds but choosing a trailer can be quite the challenge, particularly if you don't want to outgrow the trailer.

I've been looking at bigger trailers for quite a few months, and specifically trailers with ramps because the rear axles are closer to the end of the trailer compared to hydraulic tilt trailers. The RC3712 is heavy and the weight sits on the rear set of wheels so the load center is much further back compared to typical loads.

Interesting that you posted this since there's a 2022 Big Tex gooseneck trailer not too far from me that could work and it's one that I've been looking at. The A dimension is 25ft with a 5ft folding flat ramp system. My biggest concern is the GVWR at around 15k which would give about 11k of capacity, so one with 10k axles would be a better choice I think. Dimensionally it's just about perfect though, and the load would be ideally positioned relative to the axles.

If it were me I wouldn't buy that trailer with the 7K axles I had one years ago and it seemed we were always to heavy on that trailer. Finally put heavy 17.5 tires and wheels and that helped. I even added a third 7 K axle to trailer. The trailer I had was a 30 Ft with a 5 FT tail with mega ramps. Liked the ramps not the trailer. Sold it and got a dual wheel with 12K axles and hyd disc brakes and mega ramps . That was a trailer.

I had thought about adding a third axle to my 22ft hydraulic ramp trailer to get an axle closer to the end of the load but I'm not going down that path.

We should have a pinned thread all about trailers that educates re the many complexities of choosing and using a trailer. One of the challenges we face with tractors and attached implements is the lack of options in positioning the load. The closer the trailer length is to the load length the fewer the options. I realize that the M6060 and RC3712 isn't the typical load for most, and if I could figure out how to get the RC3712 on/off the trailer without it being connected to the tractor this would all be academic. I despise pulling a trailer when the load distribution isn't optimal.

So to the OP, choose wisely when buying a trailer. It's easy to end up with something that you outgrow sooner than expected, or simply isn't enjoyable to load up and pull.
