Big upgrade for me. Just brought home a Grand L3560 with a few attachments (front snow blower and auger, rear rotary mower, grapple, box blade and front end loader. Added 3rd function, rear defroster and radio. Plus a trailer to get it home and transport around. Time to get busy and sell the BX.

Congrats! How long did it take you to get it! What size trailer did you go with?

We love our L3560 LE. My wife, who's never driven a tractor before used it for the first time last weekend and was a pro on it within an hour, grading with the box blade and carrying and dumping logs I was cutting. Her only comment to me was "why didn't we get the cab model with heat and AC?" When I told her about the price difference she decided the ROP's was pretty good and I could use it when it's really hot or really cold out.

That's what I was thinking, keep the BX for the "closer to the house" activities

The cost for the cab is a consideration. Our property is in NW Colorado and about 8k feet where subzero temps are common and feet of snow. I wanted some comfort and music while using the snowblower in those conditions. Tired of looking like I am going on an artic expedition when moving snow or getting soaked during rainstorms.

I hear you and we are thinking of keeping both for the same reasons. It is also easier to maneuver in the barn.

Congratulations and thanks for the pictures. That is a really nice setup
My vote is for keeping the BX

I know the tractor is the exciting part but another Q on the trailer if you don't mind - What is the weight? (looks like a TU which has 7, 9.9 & 14k in the 20') THX

Congratulations. I upgraded from a BX25 to an MX6000 open station about 14 months ago. I upgraded again to an MX6000 cab model last December so I get it. Initially I was going to keep the BX, but the more I used the MX the less I wanted to use the BX and decided to sell it. I would like a second tractor but it would be bigger than the MX and certainly not smaller.

This trailer is 7k lb.
If that's 7k lb. gross trailer, the tractor weighs around 4k lbs wet, and and loader implement with bucket 1700 lbs.
So your new tractor with loader and bucket attached weighs around 5,700 lbs minimum.

Your trailer, if it comes in near what my 7k lbs 18' PJ Trailer car hauler weighs (1700 lbs. empty), then with that tractor/loader on gvw will be 7,400 lbs+, a 7k trailer it will be overloaded by at least 400 lbs. plus what your added 2' of trailer weighs.

Or is the 7k lbs the load capacity of that trailer? I hope so!

I know my setup (tractor and loader) I calculated at 6,515lbs without the box blade. The BB adds another 550lbs. I was surprised when I started adding everything up.

Tractor 3880
Oil 12.78
Hydraulic 79.92
Fuel 95.85
QH 70
Loader Bucket 397
Loader Frame 1279
Rear loaded tires 700
Total 6514.55 lbs

All depends on your needs I suppose.

Upgraded from a BX to a MX6000? Wow!

Sounds like you missed the target by a mile when purchasing the BX! LOL

Or perhaps my needs changed and a lawn mower was no longer enough to accomplish my goals.

I suppose so..but does the MX6000 satisfy your lawn mower needs?

Maybe you don't have a lawn anymore. Good for you. But I don't think you mentioned a move to a different location....

Still...I like having two tractors...and use the BX for mowing mostly, but other things too...to each his own, as they say...

The MX is way better for cutting 12 or more acres at my place and another 12 at a friend's. I have a large rotary cutter and a flail is on the way. I have a small area around the house that I cut with a Honda lawn mower. The BX was too much for that area to be honest.

I did a lot of things with that BX but do a lot more with the MX.

Makes sense. Guess you underestimated what you needed to begin with. Nothing wrong with that ....
