Harbor Freight had their towable trencher on a big sale earlier this month. I have some projects that, at the price, it made sense to buy one vs renting something so I placed my order. Shipment arrived today. Truck had a lift gate, but the pallet jack wouldn't work on the stone drive. I was able to use the BX and chain hooks to slightly lift the front of the pallet and pull the crate off the lift gate.
Then instead of having to break the crate down outside in the cold and haul all the pieces in to the garage to assemble the trencher I was able to to use the FEL with chains to move the whole crate over to the garage where I can work/assemble everything in a heated space.
Only hiccup was getting over the lip at the garage door. Had some scrap lumber to make a ramp.
No idea what the actual weight is. Website says about 1200lbs shipping weight, although it didn't seem that heavy.
Still would have been much more unpleasant if I had to break everything down in the driveway and carry the pieces in one at a time.
