Ya know there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, and I know there are guys here that belong to other tractor sites as well.
And sitting here this morning having my morning coffee watching the sun rise and reading the wisdom displayed with in this site.
A thought came to me. I wonder if or how many Bouta company people peruse this and other tractor sites?
I know that sometime back I got blistered due to a comment I made on a HD site about the MoCo by at least one of the corporate guys that read these sites.
Engineers are a pretty smart lot as a rule, but there is always someone that can look at the same problem and come up with a different, easier, or better fix than the company.
So I’m just wondering how many corporate guys do wonder through these hallowed halls of Orange and take ideas back to the hive?

I'm sure you are correct.... I'm a moderator on a UTV site (one of the very first) and we had several incidents that convinced us that a certain large Japanese company monitored us and occasionally passed on our comments, needs, wants, & suggestions to the decision makers. I suppose it only makes good business sense.

I hope there are a lot; seems to be good business sense to me.

Well what better way for a coperation to find out what the customer wants then to see what the customer has to say about their product. Not that Kubota doesnt build a bad ass tractor to begin with but I'm sure theres room to inprove on their product line. Most guys on here see a need to add extra work lights on the back of their tractors. Maybe Kubota could add a factory wireing harness on the back of the roll bar for easy plug and play work lights.

And we all know that Wildfire is the mack daddy pimp when it comes to customizing his Kubota and he himself has stated he is very cautious what he post's about the mod's he's made to his tractor just for the very reason you stated. Never know who's watching and might run off with one of his ideas.

I think its great that many dealers and KTC take a peek at the forum from time to time. Would be great if they could chime in more with expert advise and help take some of the weight off Mr K and Service Dept Vic. If dealers showed more supposed on here then plenty of people would know where to go for parts and service. I passed this site onto my localer dealer and I think they've taken a look see at it. I have no clue if they are a member here on not.

I doubt that they will chime in- that would change things. For one, that would admit culpability. While they may realize that there are issues (every piece of engineering has issues), to admit responsibility means that you then have to have a solution. Second, if they did chime in, then someone would ding them to death about something or another.
More than likely, they peek in to learn from the other perspective- the customers side.

Since blog sites are usually bare and open with out formalities that might sway feedback and opinions execs do scope them out. Very rarely do they ever make comments but I have read one comment from a boat builder on another site.
