taping holes

here is a old trick for tapping holes where a tap handle is not pratical.
press a nut on to the tap and the u can use a wrench or socket. when i
put all the rigging for my plow under the tractor, all the holes were
retaped to 1/2 in NC and u guessed it with a socket and rachet.

Thats a great idea LRP. I would always take the tap handle apart do a half turn and repeat. Thanks.

Never thought about doing it that way. I have tapped a lot of holes by using a small (4" or 6") crescent wrench for a tap handle though.
